FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Pottstown Police Department Chief of Police Mark D. Flanders and Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce L. Castor, Jr. are again pleased to announce the arrests of three (3) more subjects (see below information regarding arrestees), and the seizure of approximately $600 in drug activity related U.S. currency, during a High-Visibility Joint Drug Interdiction Initiative that was conducted last Friday evening (09/16).
Officers from the Pottstown Police Department, members of the Montgomery County District Attorney's Drug Task Force, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET), and with helicopter surveillance and support provided by the Army National Guard's Counter Drug Initiative all participated in this initiative. Chief Flanders again indicated that, "These high-visibility activities are designed to identify drug dealers in the Borough, disrupt their activities, develop intelligence for future operations, and to make arrests for drug violations along with crimes that have an affect on the quality of life in our Borough."
Thanking District Attorney Castor for his continued support, and the Army National Guard for their assistance, Chief Flanders stated, "There will be more arrests to come as we continue to work toward ridding our neighborhoods of drug traffickers and improving the quality of life for all of our residents."

LONNIE ALLEN (22 YOA, 657 Walnut St. Pottstown, PA) - Arrested on an Outstanding Simple Assault Warrant - Released Pending Preliminary Hearing
TERRANCE SHAWELL (21 YOA, 657 Walnut St. Pottstown, PA) - Charged with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia - Released (Summons to be Filed)
