FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Pottstown Police Department Chief of Police Mark D. Flanders and Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce L. Castor, Jr. are pleased to announce the arrests of seven (7) subjects (see below information regarding arrestees) during another High-Visibility Joint Drug Interdiction Initiative that was conducted on Tuesday (09/13) evening.
Officers from the Pottstown Police Department, the Narberth Police Department, members of the Montgomery County District Attorney's Drug Task Force, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET), and with helicopter surveillance and support provided by the Army National Guard's Counter Drug Initiative all participated in this initiative. Chief Flanders again indicated that, "These high-visibility activities are designed to identify drug dealers in the Borough, disrupt their activities, develop intelligence for future operations, and to make arrests for drug violations along with crimes that have an affect on the quality of life in our Borough."
Thanking District Attorney Castor for his continued support, Narberth Police Dennis Sharkey for the support of his officers, and the Army National Guard for their assistance, Chief Flanders stated, "Stay tuned; there will be more arrests as we continue to work toward ridding our neighborhoods of drug traffickers and improving the quality of life for all of our residents."

AARON LEH (22 yoa - 845 South St. Pottstown, PA) - Public Drunkenness - Released (Citation Issued)
15 Year Old Pottstown Juvenile Male - Disorderly Conduct - Released to Adult (Citation Issued)
DAVID MAYES (43 yoa - 19 E. 3rd St. Pottstown, PA) - Outstanding Burglary Warrant and new Act 64 (Drug Act) Violations - Released ($5,000 ROR Bail)
ROBERT BIRCKHEAD (30 yoa - 236 South 5th St. Reading, PA) - Act 64 (Drug Act) Violations - Remanded to MCCF in Lieu of $10,000 (10%) Bail
ROBERT BELL (26 yoa - 6541 N. Lambert St. Philadelphia, PA) - Outstanding Montgomery County Bench Warrant - Remanded to MCCF
DWAYNE HENDLEY (39 yoa - 165 W. Ridge Pike Lot # 242 Pottstown, PA) - Act 64 (Drug Act) Violations - Released on Unsecured Bail
