Pottstown Police Department Chief of Police Mark D. Flanders and Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce L. Castor, Jr. are pleased to announce the arrest of three more individuals for drug sales in the Borough:

Between yesterday (03/23/2006) afternoon and early this morning (03/24/2006) members of the Pottstown Police department, members of the Montgomery County District Attorney's Drug Task Force, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) arrested JAMES COICOU, JOEL MAYES, and CHARLES STEWART for possessing and selling drugs to undercover operatives at differing locations in the Borough.

Additionally, when COICOU was taken into custody he was found to be in possession of 9 bags of suspected crack cocaine, which was seized along with a small amount of U.S. Currency by police.

In addition to thanking Borough residents for the information that many have been providing, Chief Flanders thanked Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor for his continued support and assistance with Pottstown's fight against drugs. He pointed out that "without the support of our residents and the resources provided by Mr. Castor, we would not be able to effectively conduct undercover drug investigations with this kind of results."
