FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Pottstown Police Department Chief of Police Mark D. Flanders and Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce L. Castor, Jr. are pleased to announce the Friday March 17th arrest of KEVIN GRAYSON for Receiving Stolen Property and Drug Act violations. 

Around 6:30 AM officers from the Pottstown Police Department served a search warrant at apartment B303, 430 Elm St., looking for property belonging to Rent-A-Center.  Upon entering the apartment Grayson was located in the bathroom attempting to flush suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia down the toilet and the sink. 

A second search warrant was obtained for controlled substances and related items and was executed by members of the Pottstown Police department, members of the Montgomery County District Attorney's Drug Task Force, and the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET).

As a result of the searches, police recovered the stolen property (big screen TV, furniture, and lamps) - totaling $4,749 in value, a small amount of suspected marihuana, approximately one (1) ounce of suspected crack cocaine (street value approximately $1,100), digital scales, drug packaging materials, and more than $790 in US currency.

GRAYSON was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of a Controlled Substance With the Intent to Deliver, Possession of Controlled Substances, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

GRAYSON was arraigned and remanded to MCCF in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
