In
order to provide members an opportunity to gain a meaningful insight into
a career in law enforcement, they particpate in many different training
and activities offered year round. Our ride along program has been in
existence for over seven (7) years now, allowing Explorers to ride along
with Pottstown Police Officers. New to the Post this year is the Bike
Patrol Unit. New bikes are now in service for Explorers to ride during
community events to assist in their duties. Read more about these activities
on their respective pages! |

Explorers receive both classroom and hands-on training at bi-weekly meetings covering a wide variety of topics. Open meeting nights allow for members to select a topic for discussion. At left: Officer Long conducts a bi-weekly training session. At right: Explorers utilize information they received about transporting prisoners to practice their technique. |
