POLICE SEEKING HELP IN LOCATING ATTEMPTED MURDER SUSPECT

The Pottstown Police Department is still asking for the public's help in locating ROGER HART who is wanted for the April 23, 2004 Attempted Murder of his wife outside of their home in the 700 Block of Willow St..  At approximately 1:20 AM HART appeared out of "no where" and attacked the victim with a knife, he then fled from the area.  The victim was treated at the scene by Goodwill Ambulance Co. Paramedics and then flown to Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia where she underwent surgery for severe lacerations.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of ROGER HART charging him with Attempted Murder, Aggravated and Simple Assault, Stalking, and Possessing Instruments of Crime.

ROGER HART is described as a medium built (5' 10" - 190 lbs), medium complexion white male, with balding brown hair and brown eyes.  HART's current address is unknown.  He drove a silver Hyundai at the time of this incident, which was later recovered in Amity Township, Berks County.

Anyone observing HART, or knowing where he is located, is asked to notify their local police department at once - HART should not be approached, he should be considered armed and dangerous.

ATTEMPTED MURDER SUSPECT STILL ON THE LOOSE

 

Around 1:40 in the morning on August 8, 2004; Donnelle Lacey, Tyrelle Lacey, Andre Lacey, and Brandon Germany reportedly confronted a Borough resident at 124 King St.  The confrontation was the direct result of a large fight that had occurred several minutes earlier at the Club Bliss Lounge (61 W. King St.).  During the confrontation Donnelle Lacey fired several shots at the Borough resident from a handgun.  The four fled from the area and the victim was transported and admitted to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

 

Warrants were issued for the four suspected offenders, charging them all with Attempted Murder, Assault, Criminal Conspiracy and related charges.  Since that time Tyrelle Lacey, Andre Lacey, and Brandon Germany have all been arrested and are currently awaiting trial.  DONNELLE LACEY has eluded capture and is still wanted by the Pottstown Police Department on an outstanding warrant for Attempted Murder and related charges.

CALLS FOR SERVICE - DECEMBER 2004

 

During December 2004, the Pottstown Police Department answered 1,697 calls for service.  Of these calls, 1,678 occurred in the Borough. (Note: The remaining 19 calls were requests for assistance by other Police Departments or other Law Enforcement Agencies.)

 

During the month we averaged 54.74 calls per day or, 18.25 calls per shift.  For the year we have answered 20,645 calls.  The daily average for the year is 56.41 calls per day or 18.80 calls per shift.

 

During December 2003 we answered 1,380 calls. We answered 317 more calls this month than last December.  This is an increase of 22.97% from last year.  For the year (2004) we answered 906 more calls than this time in 2003.  This represents an overall increase of 4.59%.
